Ministries and Missions
The Texas District of the LCMS sponsors a wide variety of ministries:
- Campus Ministries: There are nine campus ministries in the Texas District to minister to college students.
- Disaster Response Commission: Emergency response and management when a disaster happens in your community.
- LINC - Houston: A network of local churches that have joined together in a common mission to impact the city of Houston with the love of Christ.
- LINC - North Texas: Creating innovative new ministry efforts for Urban Ministry in the Metroplex and supporting urban ministry in existing congregations.
- LINC - San Antonio: A coalition of Lutheran congregations, ministries, and individuals, combining efforts and resources to intentionally reach the multi-cultural and urban people of the San Antonio area with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, to equip and train servant leaders for ongoing ministry, and to care for the spiritual and physical needs of our neighbors.
- M2C - Mission 200: The goal of the Texas District LC-MS is to begin 200 new Word and Sacrament ministries in Texas between the year 2004 and the year 2017.

- POBLO Texas: People of the Book Lutheran Outreach is a mission society dedicated to reaching Muslims both domestically and internationally.
- Texas Church Extension Fund: Extending God's Kingdom by boldly and responsibly assisting congregations to acquire land and buildings and by linking investors with congregations.
- Texas Partners in Mission: Reaching the lost in Texas, one mission at a time, one partner at a time and one relationship at a time.
Associated Organizations
- Can-Do Missions: Short-term mission trips to locations around the United States and the world for youth and adults.
- Lutheran Foundation of Texas: A planned giving ministry.
- Lutheran Hour Ministries: A global media and congregational outreach organization.
- Lutheran Outdoor Ministries: Camp Lone Star offers camp programs with a Christ-centered staff.
- Lutheran Social Services: Serving the most vulnerable members of society.
- Lutheran Women's Missionary League: Equipping all women of the Texas District Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod through inspiration, education and discipleship, enabling them to reach others with the Gospel as they live in service to the Triune God.
